Dr. Vincent Lo
Dr. Vincent Lo is a caring and compassionate family dentist who is meticulous about the quality of his work. He is the principal dental practitioner at Hillsborough Dental Centre where clinical proficiency, benevolence, empathy and integrity are valued.
Dr. Vincent Lo, M.Sc., D.D.S. completed his post-doctoral, multi-disciplinary General Practice Residency at New York’s Mount Sinai Hospital, after graduating from Northwestern University Dental School of Chicago.
During his residency, he underwent training in advanced general and hospital dentistry, including Aesthetic Dentistry, Orthodontics and Implant Prosthetics. At The Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, he also completed clinical rotations in Anesthesiology, Dental Anesthesia and Sedation, Medical/Surgical and Dental Emergencies, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, the Temporomandibular Joint Disorders/Facial Pain Clinic, and the Dental Phobia Clinic. He has been certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and in Nitrous Oxide Sedation and Oral Sedation in order to treat anxious or apprehensive dental patients.
During the ensuing summer months following his hospital residency, Dr. Lo undertook a clinical attachment overseas, within the Oral and MaxiIllofacial Surgery Clinic at The Prince Philip Dental Hospital.
He completed an Implant Dentistry mini-residency at the University of Toronto. He earned and attained Fellowships in several dental organizations.
He offers the services of guided bone regeneration, and of digitally planned, fully guided, precision placement of dental implants by using 3-D printed surgical templates fabricated from computer-assisted cone beam CT data.
Dr. Lo fulfilled the requirements for tiered advancement and became Board Eligible with the American Orthodontic Society. He is a former Senior Certified Instructor with the International Association for Orthodontics. He provides anti-snoring and sleep apnea appliances, dentofacial orthopedic appliances, ceramic braces, retainers, space maintainers, and Invisalign clear aligners for children, adolescents and adults.
In addition to clinical artistry, Dr. Lo had been an avid researcher with a keen academic interest that led to a Master’s thesis. Some of Dr. Lo’s graduate research work was presented to The Physiological Society (Cambridge, U.K.) and published in peer-reviewed international scientific journals.
Above all, Dr. Lo feels privileged for the trust he has earned from his patients and dear friends. Dr. Lo is committed to staying up-to-date on contemporary dental technology and its innovations. He is devoted to the overall oral healthcare of his patients. While away from the office, Dr. Lo enjoys spending quality time with his family and good friends. He has also been actively involved in his community. His personal interests number chorale singing, playing the piano, swimming, tennis and watching rugby!
